Instead of just skipping the night, there's a chance some random dude will approach you while you're drinking and offer a free drink or whatever and you have to balance the chance of getting smashed and getting fucked with how much SP you get back in return (you don't get all your SP back with one drink), so if you're a mage character and most of your attacks are magic based, you have to take the chance at getting banged. So, you also have less resistance to what the random dude wants the more drinks you've downed and less say over what sex act you might end up doing the more drunk you are, so this can become a real minigame to manage how much magic you get back before jumping into dungeon diving.
