I tried it when I was in college because I thought it was cool and I was also lonely. I want to say that some of it was real, but it was mostly people larping with a sprinkle of the mentally ill.

Overall, It is as real as you believe it to be. I had real emotions tied to my tulpa even if I couldn't actually "see" it. I don't have one anymore unfortunately, but it did help me do things that I had anxiety with (public speaking, ect.).

I would attribute it to a buddy that is always cheering you on, but like one that is just in your head. At least that was what mine did anyways.

Whatever you decide, it should be on the shorter side to make it feel snappy enough. You could also get away with just removing the speech tag there.
In your Memory, in 'it'd be embarrassing to admit if', I'd either insert an 'it' after 'admit', or I'd change 'it'd' to 'that'd'. I'd lean towards the latter.
It almost surprises me that someone with that personality made it to assistant manager.
In your Lorebook, I'd insert 'sure' in 'can swing' to continue the emphasis from bat to axe.
A serial comma should go in 'shirts and'.

Should I resub to NovelAI? I had a blast about a year ago generating shitloads of smut text, but after a while I sort of got tired babysitting and fine tuning and correcting the text all the time. I'm using KoboldAi and I've been having fun, I'm running a sort of long adventure game. To keep track of stuff that happened earlier I used to just write a sort of recap/description in the original prompt, but as the recap grew I noticed it occupying more and more context space (which is to be expected). So I sorta learned how WorldInfo works for Kobold and moved most of the information in there, and it's been working mostly fine: however I noticed that it's a bit more unreliable when it comes to keeping track of who is who and who's doing what, at least compared to when all relevant information was in the prompt.
My question to you is: is there a way to get the best of both worlds, i.e. save context space while still getting accurate descriptions of past characters and locations?

LLMs will always be sycophantic yesmen and overplay stereotypes. But you can try something like:
