I've been trying to conceptualize a hypothetical 2000s-era FNAF game since there's just a huge gap in the series where nothing happens between whenever SL takes place and FNAF 3 and Pizzeria Sim being in 2023.>In 2007/2009, Fazbear Entertainment attempts to reopen after about 14/16 years of absence barring Circus Baby's Pizza World, led by the Dispatcher in SotM who was basically William's right hand man who turned the other way when he was doing vile shit and helped cover up any deaths at FFP for him.>The animatronics take an Avenger era-esque look to them, trying to appear more hip and with it to the kids. All of the gang are more clothed than normal, Foxy is a part of the main band now, and Bub and Monty are side attractions as Henry originally intended.>While there are no spirits explicitly haunting the place, a night guard working there before it opens ends up being brutally murdered after a break-in, and the animatronics are acting funky after said break-in as well. Night 1 of the game is specifically this, with it being set up like Night 1 of FNAF 3 before boom, someone enters at 3 AM and the animatronics all jump your ass in quick order.>The rest of the game sets you up as a private investigator hired to figure out what the fuck happened, with the between-night sections being longer, top-down 2D minigames where you talk with people of interest who might know a thing or two (a huge fan of Fazbear's who runs a site dedicated to it and really likes Lolbit and Scene fashion, Coppelia, a true crime enthusiast who's trying to make a campy horror movie based off of the real deaths that occurred at the pizzeria who also doesn't really know much about what happened, and Henry Emily in his rundown house on the edge of town).(1/3)

Bub meanwhile will try to get in through the vents, and Monty will alternate between the two doorways and has to be flashed in the eyes to get him to fuck off.>Roxy, BB, and a bootleg version of Chipper named Buck (FE didn't have the rights to El Chip yet) also exist as unfinished animatronics and act as hallucations (and are only in Parts and Services otherwise, but occasionally come out of it just to fuck with you and make you think they'll be actual threats, kind of like the fake audio cues in FNAF 1), as does the Puppet who's just in their FNAF 2 design.(2/3)

Plus now your power meter goes down faster.>After beating Night 6, that Fredbear suited guy manages to find a way in and drags you backstage, where he reveals himself to be Samuel Emily, Henry's son. Turns out that Charlie dying kind of fucked him up mentally and he's been so desperate to try and stop more people from getting killed that he's willing to murder to keep it from happening. None of the animatronics were possessed, he just hacked them to kill people.>The game has two endings; the first is Sammy just killing you and stuffing you in a suit, the second involves you digging deep and uncovering a ton of shit about Fazbear Entertainment. In the good ending Golden Freddy pops in and kills Sammy, letting you reveal a lot the fucked up shit FE did to the public. Game ends on one last reveal that the detective you were playing as was Cassidy's twin sister or something. Maybe there's a post-credits scene where the Puppet pops in and gives life to Sammy to make him a sort of Beartrap, who the fuck knows.(3/3)
