I stopped playing around the same time (zariman was the last content I did), there are two new important syndicates (very similar to zariman), infested adversaries, duviri, and the old peace update which was december 10th, there's an event for this so you should consider rushing it
right now you should do sanctum and hex quests and do their standing each day until you get to rank 5 in each, you'll unlock a weekly endgame mode that's like archon hunts but harder and better rewards
latest update doesn't have syndicate bullshit, you just farm the rewards, can get max arcane energize stupid quick from the current event
you should also take a peek at your options in the circuit on duviri and try to get opportunity 4 as soon as possible, try to get that cleared away so that you can look at your options in navigation, you should be able to get both of the incarnon genesis each week from two or three 30-40 minute runs

An overwhelming majority of weapons are supposed to build pure crit or hybrid crit/status, including Shedu. Firestorm and Galvanized Aptitude should never be on the same weapon; Firestorm boosts your AOE and Galv Aptitude doesn't apply to AOE. New frames are designed with new content in mind and thus are balanced around what's considered the modern style of the game.
A lot of old frames while getting reworks slowly over time, are mostly left with having to rely on augments that actually makes their kits on par with modern frames, but actually relying on the augment system can be seen as a waste because you're wasting slots to make an old frame work, when you can just use a new frame with all your preferences of mods.
An Augment slot system could probably help old frames long term viability in modern content and allow them to be seen more without having to wait in line for a rework that might take months to years to come.

I feel like an outlier for saying this but these new Transference powers don't feel fitting, they feel too normal for powers based from the unknown.
At least everything before them had a fancy feel, even the simple hand beam felt like you blasting your Voidness in an uncontrolled fashion, but simply having this capacity to just swish and flick about weapons and a book makes it all feel too normal. They should've been unnatural, for example tentacles growing from the eyes and blasting beams or a void like body double growing from the user and then ripping itself apart to unleash a Void rain.

I used BoneWidow, fuck yeah. Had a blast with that almighty sword. Also because they mixed it up, with both Grineer and Jupiter Corpus tile sets, it never became too repetitive for me, got into a groove, had a goal, got stuck in until I got there.
It was my bread and butter for many many months after, gradually selling off arcanes when I needed plat. I didn't just get arcane energize, though that was the main objective due to it's value, I got all the arcanes, a ton of them.

i agree. the tauron weapons are supposed to be recovered from the void through focus, they should be dripping with odd energy. their flow seems broken too, either make it a special charged/held transference call to tater animation of summoning the weapon or make perita tater only and call in the frames with tauron for their duration. the sfx is painful to me, a standard heavy slam looks more weighty than the unairu strike, that shit should leave a crater and break everything, instead its just another energy wave.
