There is some foreshadowing in Part 1 regarding the Fate of Ryoshu's daughter and her intense hatred for a single person. The person she hates the most amongst the Nursefathers is the one she used to be closest with. That person is the Index NF.He was the one who told Ryoshu that when killing to never burn someone because it will be a painful and agonizing that's not instant death (it will be a slow way to die while inflicting more suffering upon the victim).The NF are against Ryoshu developing human emotions that will hinder her journey into becoming the finest/best blade of the fingers. One of the flashbacks with censors is the thumb NF scolding Ryoshu for having a kid.It was decided by the whole NF that it will be the Index NF who will order her to create her greatest art/final test to "graduate" their tutelage.That art would be named the hell screen. It involved Ryoshu lighting her sword on fire and stabbing then burning her child. Ryoshu performed the deed but broke in the process. She assaulted the index NF and burned half of his face (which is why he wears a half mask) and escaped the spider house while killing any pursuers (the NF never reached Ryoshu).The mutilated memory is self inflicted. She "mutilated" her memory to forget most of her horrific past. This in turn lead her to forget many things related to the spider house such as her past swordsmanship styles learnt from different NFs. The reason Ryoshu doesn't want to remove the sword from her scabbard is because that course of action is instinctual. Even with her mutilated memory a part of her unconscious still bears that painful memory. She'd rather die than unsheath her sword WITH the exception of those related to the spider house/ NFs and only when she knows that is the only way for her to win.

I only had to retry in the last 4 sinners vs roseate desire mannequins, rest was first tried. No backline sinners usage but I locked the fuck in during battle strategy.Learnt A LOT about Thumbsault usage, like stalling the tiger rounds, how counter is most consistent than s1-s2 after spending all rounds, and even timed a last Savage Tigerslayer round in time for an S3 that wiped a whole wave.This part was fucking great.
