I think I've gained a new appreciation for games that try to foolishly go on forever adding new arcs and characters until they legally can't anymore, compared to stories that try to do big poetic endings that kinda kill the journey. The point of a gacha game is the same as MMO's, people want a story that keeps going forever that keeps getting added onto, its overall low investment but its "always there for you". You feel like you can come back to it occasionally and see what new things they added.
