Way the fuck back during the whole Covid thing, everything increased prices using that as an excuse and that "oh it's only until it goes away and then we'll bring it back down teehee". But all that's shown is that they're quick to get the prices up, but then never actually bring them back down. It'll be the same with memory this time around: once it goes up, it'll never come back down, because all the companies care about is "number line go up".
I sat around waiting for RAM prices to lower a bit to upgrade my PC and ended up having to shell out over 200 yurobucks for 32GB of DDR4 (which isn't as fucked as DDR5 yet)

I'm trying to play Ace Combat 5 on my PS2 via HDD and OPL and the FMVs seem to be having audio issues, mostly skipping and desyncing. I already checked the OPL compatibility guide and it said turn on mode 6 for the game, it also says CBT improves FMV playback but I'm not quite sure what that means, I've poured over the settings in OPL and found no such thing. anyone manage to get this shit to work properly or am I going to have to burn some DVDs?

IIRC he got paranoid people would profit off his work with shit like PS1 compilations like the Gex one, Trannyarch devs wanted his emulator as a core but he refused, from which apparently was harassed? And he joined PCSX2's development in which he was informed that emulator would remain under a GPL (general public licence) forever. And people gave him fair criticism on some QOL and interface features. Whatever the catalyst was he took the most rational and sensate approach which was having a massive melty and turning Duckstation from a GPL project into a private licence, despite protest from other contributors to the project, meaning any fork of compiling of it after August 2024 is essentially illegal. For anyone who thought it was business as usual for the pain platforms was dead wrong since Stenzek, now high on his own farts started to hole himself with yes men inside his discord becoming more arrogant and insufferable. He already abandoned Android support since may last year and also has threatened to stop Linux support.
But what does this have to do with Switch? Well with PCSX-Rearmed as the only way to have PS1 on Switch until 2024 with the NRO port we could've had a more updated and feature rich emulator today if not for one faggot's mental Illness. Still, the port we have is pretty good and people can make do with it for sure. It's just a shame one person is holding shit back for Android, Linux and now Switch users. You don't hate Stenzek enough. You think you do but you don't.

Hi I've downloaded both the newest version of atmosphere and hekete and my switch is now on custom firmware with proper backups and emummc and all that jazz, I was on 17.0.0.1 but no matter what I did I couldn't get awoo installer to not crash or tinfoil to even open, so I followed some guide and updated my CFW to 21.1.0 following some youtuber guide but now I can't use my gamecard at all, I can't boot into the gamecard to even enter non applet mode it just gives me a 2133-0011 so at this point I've just started screaming because I just want to godanm play metroid prime 4 and the emulators all suck because they have a shitty ass nigger faggot visual bug on them and I don't want that NIGGER TRASH.

I fixed it, I had to unlink the original nintendo account from emunand and it worked. Still can't get tinfoil to work but I eventually gave up and installed the game via usb and awoo installer.
