I think making players spend phoxene on dyes is fine. It gives the monthly card a use in terms of cosmetics, though they could double the number of forma per month in the phoxene store for people who aren't spamming dyes. They could even add or replace a small amount of phoxene with plumules, say 30 per day, to make the value proposition of the monthly card worth it for low spenders. Overall, there's not a really compelling reason to spend money in this game if you aren't rich/don't have a money printer.
