Vehicles don't help on breakthrough if the map is complete shit thoughever. Take Cairo for example where you have a single lane to drive down. And for some reason that map only got the armoured jeep and only one the first point.

I've concluded gauntlet is the best way to get revives. BR is easier and you can basically just hang behind your team the whole round, but it's so damn slow.

I like the mortar. Not because it's good or because it's useful but because it makes the enemy team rage and an entire squad worth of their players will spend the rest of the match trying to hunt me down as the mortar guy. Takes me 10 seconds to respawn and set up on the opposite side of spawn. They waste minutes trying to get to me or waste their recon's only drone which I hear from a mile away and kill in 2 seconds.. If one of their medics is also wasting his time trying to counter mortar I just wait for him to shoot first, drop three shots on his position and continuing mortar spamming. The mortar is very disruptive but not in the intended way.

Assault has faster objective interaction for some modes and beacons/ladders are frequently useful depending on the objective type. Beacon on modes like deadlock/wreckage to give you another try at objectives if you get squad wiped, ladder on ones like decryption/vendetta for surprise attacks. Support gets less useful the more of them there are in a squad so it's not like a full support stack is that good an idea either.
I think the ideal team would be assault/recon/support/support. Though maybe I'm an idiot. Too bad they cancelled that tournament so there's no way to see what the pro players go with. Did they ever reschedule that or are they just hoping people will forget about it?

Thought i was done with this game until I had a bretty gud series of games which reminded me, sometimes you just gotta stop reading all the noise that comes out of every single complaining mouth and just play the damn game. Yeah, shit is broken. Yeah, its probably not gonna get fixed for another year. Can i still do engineer shit and put tanks down? Hell yes. Can I still hop in and IFV and make infantry lives miserable? Absolutely. Can i hop in a transport heli and play chopper gunner and be a pain in the ass? Fuck yeah. Point is, you really can't let online discourse effect how you personally feel about the game. If that were the case, by reddits measures, this game would be a 2/5. This games got fuckin problems. No doubt about it. But its still the best looking and sounding battlefield game, and the core experience is still quite refined. I'll never not be upset at all the lost gadgets, this is true. But id rather have a gun focused meta than being useless because enemies are unspottable or have a metric fuckload of deployables.

I've heard of live service games getting worse as the years go by but this stupid game got worse within like a month of launch and it keeps getting worse.

IMO this is worse than 2042 because at least I could look at 2042 and see that it was so terrible that there was no way they could fix it in a reasonable amount of time, whereas BF6 beta was a bit rough but nothing so bad that it made me want to stop playing so I bought it. Fucking sucks.
