Toko..Overall liked KnS2 as much as the first one, but for different reasons. The game felt overall more light-hearted than KnS2 due to more banter and the cast playing off one another between Reiji/Masaki/Toji/Yaginuma/. KnS1 felt lonely with a smaller cast with Reiji being solely responsible for investigation. It felt more focused and intense. Often it was just Reiji and Yukari. It felt like a big deal when they had anyone over at their house. Also the way the crimes and murders were being presented was darker. All of which are its strengths. KnS2 had a larger cast, which is fine, but it feels like its forced to make these random coincidences that happen to keep the story moving. Plot points like Fuyumi being Ayako or Michiru to be her daughter or Reiji's kid being raised by Nanako is just too many coincidences. It also doesn't make sense for Masaki not to recognize Fuyumi when she recognized him. Especially when he was so obsessed with her. Plot points like Kohane killing her parents also add little to the story.I didn't like how the cast handled the impact of certain events. Karen gets arrested and Masaki does not care other than in the bad end. Same thing with Meguri and Yuka. The worst is Fuyumi and Masaki, they just drop the truth on each other and barely gets brought up again. I get they want to ship Masaki and Yukari, but what imo should've been a big emotional moment was so flat. You would think he would be more like Reiji with Toko.I still had a great time with the game. I enjoyed the change of pace with the flashback. I love the old and new characters alike. The art is beautiful and peaks here. I took a look at KnS3 sprites and they look like a step down. The game tries to do a lot story wise and it kept me engaged, but fell flat at the end. They could've trimmed down some plot points and left some ambiguity.Moderately excited for KnS3 tho I heard its not as good. Gonna take a break as I went through 1/2 in like a month.
