Speaking of netcode and stuff, for whatever reason this game allows you to increase your input delay in the button configuration options so if you ever feel like a game you play online felt bad you can always check how it would've felt under delay based netcode by looking at the rollback frames then going to training mode and setting your delay to that before practicing some combos, remember to disable it afterwarrds.

A lot of newer players get mashed on because they unintentionally have obvious tells for it. For example, if their opponent blocks for awhile the newer player might do a light stagger into run up throw. They tend to hesitate more than experience players when doing so. You’ll get better at recognizing and reacting to these kinds of signs the more you play. You will also get better at hiding your intentions, or will be able to play around their expectations to open them up. It’s also possible that you’re getting mashed on because you’re not recognizing that your opponent is delay 2L OS’ing, the gaps in your pressure are too large, or because your strings are too obvious/autopilot.
