And doing this build doesn't specialize a damage type so anything you grab works, so you just prioritize weaknesses or just highest number.I've been ending runs doing 1200-1500 damage on initial swing.

I see what I'm doing wrong in the great hollow now. All of my runs have a bad start, because we skip fights and go straight for churches. All of our time spent traveling and hardly fighting anything. The map doesn't show all of the enemy camps available, so you have to memorize where the beginner camps are, and take your time killing small bosses there to work your way up.

Well, while the blade is huge, the actual arc of the blade when you swing it is quite short. So it's a deceptive kind of weapon, playing with one's depth perception. Basically, I was missing half of my attacks, as they all came up a little short. The fight went too long, and Artorias was able to power up twice.

Had a pretty mediocre run turn bad at the end. We were running in great hollow. On the second half of the second day, we all pinged the castle. Going to fight some bosses there. We took the hawk up. So me and revenant took a route through the exterior portion, in order to kill some of the cleanrot knights on our way to the castle. The ironeye just bee lines it to the castle. So after a few cleanrot knight kills, I'm like "alright, time to stop lollygagging, and help the ironeye at the castle". So I run over and begin the boss. But wait... the iron eye isn't in the boss room. His icon says he's right next to us, but he's not helping with the boss. Where is he? Is it possible to somehow skip to an upper level of the castle, without clearing the lower level? Well whatever the case may be, the ironeye wasn't helping defeat the boss. So it took us a long time, and the rain came and killed us before we could finish. As I'm hugging the floor, I check the map and see the iron eye running away from our position. I never learn if he's above or what.And then somehow, despite being well in front of the rain at the beginning, and even pinging a grace in passing, he STILL somehow dies to the rain himself. Just baffling how he pulled that off. Again, I'm just watching him on the map. So I don't know what he's doing.But yeah, the whole second half of the second day was wasted, turning a mediocre run bad. Though we still got into the second phase of the balancers before dying.
