But every game that has one of those types of systems that doesn't eventually allow for some sort of way to eventually get what you want without gambling just turns me off. I actively put off picking up Augusta and Iuno based off how bad my RNG was getting pieces for Phrolova. It's not even like perfect stats are needed for gameplay and probably from a middle of the road piece to a top tier piece it's probably fractions of a percent in actual DPS. It just always feels like someone is wasting my time on purpose and I'm spending more time in menus than enjoying the game.

I never really bothered looking at the sequences for 5 star characters before since I'm F2P, but holy shit the buffs are insane for basically every character I've checked out. The game must turn into a complete joke if you're using someone that's at S2+.
