This game is honestly barely competitive. You can just fuck around and do mostly whatever, and it WILL work. If you wanna do a 66L, f.H/f.L and b&b combo only challenge you can do that. I've been memeing a guy with stagger 66L spam and he can't do anything other than BC, only for me to BC him back and 66L spam poke loop all over again. You niggers say 66L has counterplay, but no it doesn't, not if it's used randomly and with delays. You can HOPE for a counter hit or some other gay shit landing, but it's literally luck or guessing and if your hopeful guess fails you die. The fact that I can rob people that are actually trying by just sitting here, laughing and doing 66L and other stupid shit doesn't mean I'm good, it means the game mechanics are fucking awful for even allowing that to be a thing to begin with. I would bet that if we do get another game, it'll not chop any of the cast or change the visuals/features much. For Granblue Fantasy there's a focus on characters and also on having a lot of them available, so I think they probably decided at the outset that they didn't want to develop the game in a way where they would have to trim off any existing characters between games. They would've planned around a constant upward trajectory of more and more characters until they finally shitcan the whole franchise - and that requires never needing to redo your work on a prior character.The EX characters may have been an idea for how to do a rework of sorts without needing to fully remake the character. Change a few specials and the 5U, boom, kinda new character.

If you stop dropping combos, wasting BP and learn defense you will reach master quickly. That is when you fight PLAYERS instead of only your own mistakes. People are serious when they say the game starts at master. It really should have been called “standard queue,” with everything below named “entry” or something similar. Calling it “tutorial” or “beginner” would just make people quit so I'm avoiding those words lmao.Now, about that fucking chart:- 500 gems is not much.- Since “master” just means people are not just mashing anymore and just have a base understanding of the game, matchups do not matter much.- Knowledge check and oppressive neutral characters dominate until opponents learn counterplay. Anila is simple and intuitive to deal with, while Soriz, Metera and 2B can rob you until you know specifics. Once both sides of a match have a baseline of knowledge, only then do matchups matter. Anila does lose to Metera, obviously, but it is not 7:3. This game does not have 7:3 matchups.- Difficult characters drop off, but at higher levels execution is consistent, so difficulty stops being a factor yet it does influence the chart.- Popularity matters. There will be more waifushitters mashing on Narmaya, than Uno players. Narm is clearly stronger, everyone knows this, but Uno is higher because only people who understand his kit and gameplan stick with him, but that doesn't make Uno better.
