I'm new and have been playing bot games and shit and just generally trying to learn the game and get a feel for things when I've gotten a chance to play. Laning is really fun, but I'm a little confused as to what to do after. I hear about going to help other lanes and that makes sense, but generally the 2 ppl who I was fighting in my lane just continue to try and get my little firehead man, the guardian or whatever, after we take theirs. What should I be doing? Am I meant to push our lanes creep wave into the walker, hit the jungles around my lane and try and push them back until they fuck off? I feel like if my lane partner leaves and the two people in the enemy team stay in that lane, I always end up being pushed back into my own guardian and losing it.

If one team is stomping let them stomp but make them vulnerable in doing so or if they become negligent. Other primary gripes are the UI (especially for items) as well as all the ugly characters I'll never play like Shiv, Moe & Krill, Grey Talon. There are a couple extremely bad personalities/voiceovers too like Paige Vyper Billy.

Paradox grenade should have charges at level 3. All 4 stam heroes should have move speed lowered. Add Crimson Guard and Pipe from dota Make a train that travels through mid boss pit along the middle of the map connecting the far lanes that has a schedule and you can ride for fast left-right movement that's less safe than TP.
