Maybe we should talk about mergers.First off, it's very unlikely that any platoons can merge while retaining all its members. There are not enough platoons close to 20 members each. If anyone is to merge, it would have to be split into multiple different platoons. I know this sucks from a community perspective, but surely there are a lot of members who don't really socialize much and don't mind as long as they can be in a stable platoon.I think the first thing that needs to be done is getting an overview over how much space everyone has, and who wants to get in where. Say platoon 1 has 30 active members, and 10 of them wants into platoon 2, while 20 wants into platoon 3. Platoon 2 and 3 would have to be notified and confirm how much actual space they have if they kicked all the corpses.Also, perhaps most importantly, we need to establish which platoons are actually open to disbanding, and which position the danchou would have in the new structure. (It's not possible to merge without someone disbanding.)None of this information needs be public, but danchous would need to be able to communicate to members where they can expect to go. Not to mention, all of this would be voluntary and subject to change, and people would have to accept that. (i.e. if a player suddenly changes his mind half-way through or quits the game, resulting in an unequal distribution.)Maybe this is all too complicated and everyone's just waiting for a platoon to disband naturally so members can flow wherever they want. That's certainly a lot simpler, but also more chaotic. Thoughts?
