I think if I get a piece with 3 or 4 sub stats I like I shouldn't have to go back to the mines, I want a way to invest into that piece more materials or effort and make it "perfect" with the exception being the actual stat values. The grind would be RNG until good piece > Substat selector > Feed other echoes to maximize values. In my opinion it should take time but after a month of grinding you can have a full set of perfect or near perfect echoes for a unit or two. And they could add some game play for farming the selectors or other echoes that are co-op or solo that make the grind fun. I remember farming violet herons with the boys and at that early part of the game I had fun, but once you get bit in the ass too many times by RNG it just becomes less fun.

From what I've seen WhiWa seems to be the least talked about gameplay mode in the game.Even having Phrolova just seems like a way to avoid how shitty the mode is by using a foolproof easy win card. Every time I see a WhiWa clear, it's either Augusta/Iuno or Phrolova, whereas with ToA you see a lot of people clear it in their own way with their favourite characters.
