Others have way more Universal systems and simpler characters are simpler matchups in general. Some of the older more complex games may take tens of thousands of hours to understand well. But a lot of the newer games are made to have the onboarding process be very simple and will only take you maybe a few hundred hours at the most to become top level. This is why these new games feel more random, by the way. If you want to get easy wins very quickly, I recommend playing something like guilty gears Strive.
