What are gwo's thoughts on drecom adding skills that change character/enemy positions?Like in darkest dungeon the crusader (knight) has a lance charge that he can only use when in the back rows but moves him forward and has a lot of damage and range, highwayman (thief) has a high powered gunshot thats usable only in front and moves him back 1. Also various other skills that push/pull enemies.

A6 is just the grasslands but instead its a desert and like 10 times bigger including the lack of minimap and it will have a day and night cycle depending on how many steps you've taken: day time will have you suffer from the heat and take huge damage pepr step after a certain heat threshold unless you find an oasis and at night iy will be just a4's gimmick, you will need to use the ranger's MILWA to illuminate at night else you get 100% ambushed the whole time (bypasses stealth and yeka's passive).

Ok so I reached the wolves. Do I just need 2 mages spamming AOE's to clear the smaller wolves the entire fight? I got pretty far but then there was 3 rows of wolves and the Alpha did a 1 shot aoe that wiped my party despite not being frozen. Is that completely random or only when there's enough small wolves around?

Do you wear cloth on your frontliners in general, even on fighters and such?I've come to the wolf boss in A4/alabaster wolf boss and noticed that now that I ditched my cope evasion gear I was wearing all A3, I can barely take a hit. I know DEF is mosten regarded as useless but I'm now in a position where even with a rank 2 makaltu and a masoluto bosses or sometimes even the fucking A4 adventurers just absolutely shred through my HP, sometimes even in single strikes.I thought all this could just be offset by killing everything first with ESS but that sometimes doesn't work, especially when it's a lot of enemies and my mage is unable to even oneshot a single goblin in the backline.Nevermind bosses like the alabaster wolf "that only has 10k HP", that gets bursted so hard by ESS that he does 1-2 out of turn attacks on top of his two regular hits (which already hit for a fuckton and my MC already has rank 2 WOTK)I just don't know where to move equipment-wise currently, the EVA stacking has made me so incompetent do deal with anything now it seems.image related, 65 fighter, this is with a +20 fighters ring, everything else is only +10

Def is a brick stat but only on blessings and gear that isn't the highest tier, it's still important and very fucking good if you understand breakpoints. My yuzu goes down in one hit from some stronger mobs if her defense is below 200, with it she can survive two, effectively doubling her hp. Since the damage reduction from def increase is static (so, with 600 def the damage that character takes is reduced by 300, excluding all buffs and % damage reduction effects), kniggas can become ridicilously tanky turtles that can shrug off a whole bunch of attacks. This also makes your heals on them much better because their effective hp is much higher.

So apparently using basic attacks is better on ninja than armor pierce, despite that clearly being the intended bread and butter skill considering it deals with the one main issue of multiheat aka defense pen? What makes basics worth it more than armor pierce? No instakill? Kiriha dupes being better for discipline? Some followup attack stuff? I am trying to get ninja more, I got some decent kunais on my ninja MC now and he has 300 attack on both sides, I cant tell how hard he really hits since the numbers all overlap eachother
>>553514925Armor pierce just doesn't have enough scaling or defense penetration to be worth using. MC should be using heavy attack 3-5 or chronostasis against high defense enemies.Basic attack is good against low def enemies because of follow-up attack and crits.
Why do people always prefer 2H axe over the sword for instance? I know axe has the highest damage but is that little amount of damage really worth losing the ASPD/ACC/EVA over?I understand the choice over hammers or spears but to me it feels like I can't pass up on these stats.
giving my foxslut yuzu some follow up attack inherits made her even more busted

>>553516768Those stats are easy to overcap (or to live without entirely in EVA's case) so yeah it's worth losing them for sure to get Def PenSpear is nearly as useful as Axe, it's ideal to carry both aroundI don't know if Hammer doubling up on Stun with ESS is noticeable, but it mite b cool2H Sword simply has the least going for it offensively
