I have been a firm believer that does. Whenever I brought anything more than a ferro or anvil to a matriarch I would get killed before I even made it to the event. I am certain you are placed either with slightly more aggressive players than normal or players with higher KDA.

I think one of the problems with this game is that the devs try to match by SKILL but they look for that based on KILL:DEATH ratios which technically isn't indicating skill but rather AGGRESSION.

For those with less imagination and less iq consider this; even if you're a better player but not shooting first or even shooting at all you can be killed more often than some rat who just hides and extract camps. If I'm fully committed to running away when fired upon, either I'll die or live when shot but my KDA will never improve. Compared to someone who extract camps, they will likely win most engagements and have a high kill to death ratio since they're just sitting there waiting most of the match and only taking fights where someone has their back to them.

That's my theory on it anyway. Thank you for reading my ramblings.

Took a few tries to find a lobby with a rat in it. Hunting rats that don't expect a fair fight is so satisfying. The PvP lobbies are insanity. Once I was in Ratkanda I couldn't even rat in Assembly, because nobody was there! PvPnigs literally just file into loading bay and kamikaze each other like they're playing picrel.

Yes 100%, there is a lot of seething here over freekits, don't mind that, that's just people dying to a shitter every dozen games or so then larping like freekits are the most OP shit on the planet. Custom loadouts are always going to do you much better, you can take adrenaline shots, better augments that let you loot more (and have a safe pocket), etc. All of these will make playing the game for you a lot better.

Early on you can do some free loadout runs, then exchange your free loadouts at the clinic for level 1 augments, I suggest the looting 1 augment.
