Plus, like the beginning of Rise of Zilart is already a retcon in kind of exactly the same way XIII was retconned in XIII-2, and they created Rhapsodies to "help" people through the MSQ, so I just did it that way. I did allow myself to become distracted with whatever I wanted to do, like there were events running that I did and grinded while taking a break from the MSQ. But I'd recommend going in Rhapsodies order because the rewards are just way too good. Also, you should check which events are currently going on now, and if you can, try to unlock the requirements to reap the rewards. Some of the event rewards are pretty lucrative, in the event that you want to do more things than just the MSQ.

Final Fantasy should lean into the challenge run community and include things like locking character levels, inventory, jobs, ect... I just finished Diofield and I'm convinced that this game was supposed to be a 16 spinoff game that they reworked to make into its own thing after deciding to cut back on the scale of 16 all together. There's just way too much overlap with the overall setting and even enemy types. The game even has the same war room thing that 16 had where you could check in and get updates on the war and politics of the world that served no real purpose other than world building.Neat game but ultimately too budget and overstays its welcome far too long with how shallow the gameplay was.

The game has a lot of the same monster enemies that look just like the ones featured in 16 noticeably the drakes, salamander, coeurl, and even behemoth, Sure you can say it's because it's a squenix game that it has them and these were also enemies that were featured in 16 and they look incredibly similar in both games. Of all the fantasy monsters they could have done they chose the ones that 16 highlighted in its small enemy roster.

Also I forgot to include how similar the power relation powerpoint presentations are to how they were done in 16. I can't recall of any other game that focused so heavily on war and politics that included such a feature with an entire menu full of visual aids to carry it along. This will be my final post about diofield because I doubt anybody else in here even played it but it's a curious game that shares a lot of similarities to 16. They may all be coincidental but I seriously doubt it considering how much squenix liked to milk the mainline series in the past.Should I go back to Harvestella and see if I can finish the game this time around? I got burnt out with how shit the combat and progression was. My other options are to start Oninaki or begin my Final Fantasy pixel remaster collection marathon starting with 1.
