Man, they really cheaped out on music in SM2. The visuals are awesome in this game, but when Rogue Trader and Mechanicus have better and more memorable music you know fucked up. Russian fucks decided all of a sudden that it's fine to nickel and dime for content nobody asked and the time and working hours put into making this DLC could've been spent on adding improvements to the game itself or at the very least making new cosmetics.
In all my 500 hrs of playtime I've yet to meet a human being playing his dude without a helmet on. Nobody complained about missing head models for BTs, BAs or Dave Bautista. People do complain about not having pauldrons for the other shoulder, no dedicated DW set, fucked up colors every other update etc. If anything I'll just creamapi this dlc and be done with it. They wont see my money for it.

From the very beginning most of the gripe people had, in the general at least, was that voice lines were too Smurf-centric. The only thing that really had to be done was to record neutral dialogues and add them in. I mean if they go with Chapter specifc ones than why stop there? All founding chapters and their most popular successors should have theirs. If they went into this rabbit hole, there's no escaping such criticism. Like I said, this was easily remedied.

Also I generally play Tactical, and I was wondering what my *role* is. I sort of play it like I play veteran in DT, midline support, and focusing on snipping majoris enemies into execute range for whoever is in the thick of it. It's really fun I love both Plasma-guns. It also feels good to keep trash out of the way for heavies so they can do their thing without gaunts fucking them over

It is but it mostly closes you out of the grapple AoE build since you need to soften them up at range to start it. The alternative dive kick burst build works well enough though but you definitely lose a lot of AoE damage that you can hopefully make up for in sheer single target burst.
No weapon vanguard has access to is considered bad but there are definitely stronger ones

Tac’s Role is to be a walking Auspex that lights up
1: big Majoris Groups
2: Extremis Groups
3: Terminus bosses
Anything else you can do besides that is great
Tac’s best weapons are
1: Flamer
2: Plasma Incinerator
3: Stalker Bolt Rifle
2 and 3 can be swapped, some people agree or disagree

I think that might apply to the Tactical purely because the wealth of good choices in ranged primaries highlights the less optimal choices you could be running in higher difficulty missions.

I see! I tend to throw my Ausphex whenever there i 3+ Majoris enemies clumped together. I don't like holding unto my ability when it could most likely be ready when it's needed again. Is that about right?

I have only tried the Flamer on the heavy, is the tactical's much different? I guess it's the sort of weapon that get better the higher your difficulty is right?

Like that other post said, Tact's best weapons are Stalker bolt, Flamer, and Plasma. I haven't really found a reason to go back to other weapons for Tact between those three
>Auspex usage
I take the perk that refunds 50% of auspex when it highlights an extremis and above so you should always be popping auspex on extremis and terminus enemies.
But beyond those circumstances, I usually pop them if I see more than 2-3 ranged tyranid warriors or chaos spawns. Ranged Tyranids, particularly with Devourers, are priority number 1 and enormous threats when they enrage in Lethal and above.

Tac’s flamer is so much better than Heavy’s because he has an actual melee weapon that does good damage in the form of the chainsword and Auspex on Parry perk. You just light enemies on fire then lay into them with melee, which is effectively two streams of damage at once since the DoT of the flamer keeps ticking while you parry, dodge, gunstrike, whatever. It’s also insanely easy to use and has great ammo economy. Heavy’s is similar, but his melee capabilities are a lot worse so it’s not as good.

The heavy chains with the chainsword are pretty fun. Somehow I can tolerate that swing speed with the chainsword while I can't with the xenophase.

Chainsword is marginally better than knife. The only thing knife has over chainsword is shadowstab, but that’s not always possible in the middle of combat, especially if you don’t have Sniper’s cloak. Chainsword offers more consistent melee DPS with shoulder bash looping.

How 2 fix the auspex balance problem: Add a damage cap based on total HP of target.
That means it functions more like an add-on direct damage ability rather than a force multiplier with no ceiling. Reduce the cooldown until it is in a good place. Then this frees up the rest of the arsenal from having to deal with "but what if auspex makes it broken".

nta, saber confirmed multiple times the damage of every weapon in the game is balanced around auspex. they claim that's to ensure that picking tactical is not a guaranteed win but auspex is basically the reason why all bolt weapons suck.

Yes, that does seem to be the case.
The only reason not to leave is if you're a vanguard with extremis heal, then you're worth so much to the team even when dead that you should sick it out.
Also I'm fairly certain relics and gene-seed don't spawn either. I haven't seen a single one yet.

I've been keeping tabs when that did happen. I just didn't play Tact around that time.
That's another gripe with these signature perks with cooldowns, they could at least include a goddamn indicator when they're off cooldown so I don't need to dodge out of minoris executes and kill absolutely nothing else near me.
