So I finally learned why everybody likes this thing.Even if you're an aimlet who can't put the crosshairs on top of Devastator heads, each shot does a shitload of stagger and you still only need three shots to the torso to kill a Devastator. And hitting a Devastator in the torso will cause them to recoil and then reset back to rest position, so it's super easy to line up your crosshair where their head is going to be and then plink it after missing the first time. Not to mention that of course it kills Troopers in a single shot and makes plinking the side rockets on Rocket Striders child's play. The Rounds Reload trait also allows you to always enter combat with a full magazine, and of course you can just reload the thing between targets to extend its magazine size in any given engagement.I still mostly suck with the thing, but it's strong enough that it can mostly play itself so long as you put in at least a minimal amount of effort in aiming.

Game would be much better if Stratagem weapons could actually be primary/secondary/grenade instead, rather than only heavy weapon.So for example, you call in the chainsaw and when you pick it up it replaces your secondary weapon, if you call in C4 it replaces your grenades.I guess even better if applicable Stratagems can go into specific slots (so every single one can go into heavy weapon slot but some can replace your primary/secondary instead if you choose) when you hold the pick up button by simply having a menu pop up at that point. Otherwise it works as right now on quick press, going into your heavy weapon slot.The issue is that they balanced the game in a way where your Stratagem weapon is mandatory to do anything and your primary is just a gimmick for clearing lonely chaff occasionally. So by taking any Stratagem that can't kill heavies (most of them) you're basically dead weight.So weapons not only compete for your 4 Stratagem slots but also compete for your one and only heavy weapon slot, making 99% of picks straight up pointless.Nobody will EVER pick up C4 as an actual viable strategy, because it means you're stuck with your dogshit primary just so you can have slightly better grenades.Now, if you could actually put the detonator part of it in your secondary or grenade slot instead it could be viable since now you can take Machinegun or any other backpackless heavy weapon, as all you lose is your backpack slot and less valuable weapon slot.
