You want to run and jump, Sonic wants to run and jump. The world is melting and orchestras are playing and Sonic still wants to run and jump. Even if you skipped every cutscene, Sonic's motivations are the same as yours.. You give Sonic a girlfriend and thats not true anymore, it is now possible to disagree with Sonic when you do that.

No one is going to like me saying this but I really do think Yuji Naka was the only person keeping Sonic Team from slipping into mediocrity. The moment he left the team they were never able to achieve the heights they had in the 90's and early 00's again. I'm not saying he was all the talent in the team, I think he was just the guy who was able to handle managing the team of tards he had.
