It's because of that it isn't streamlined, those ranged attacks are resources that need to be managed on a fight-to-fight basis, and being a gauge job with a long ass burst, you really need to plan things. It's not complicated by any means but comparing it to a phys ranged is a little silly anon.

Consistent GCD alignment is sort of the foundation that makes everything else click. Consistent GCD alignment is being able to keep Fleche/C6 on cooldown, GCD alignment is how you do your raidbuff burst properly, consistent GCD alignment is having full confidence you can slidecast/dualcast xyz mechanics because you do it the same way every pull. This is really the big one, inconsistent clipping means you never have consistent movement for mechanics, snowballing into having to use instants/melee combo at random places and not having them for things that may hard require them later. The lost meter and potency hurts your immediate results of course, but as far as like growth over time, GCD consistency is the big mandatory foundation.In practical terms, I'd check VODs/logs and just try your hardest to copy their homework. You won't have to forever, but it's a good shortcut when you're new and still getting the hang of things. You also don't have to do it for every mechanic/the entire fight (it's not a bad idea to if you're really serious) but at least surrounding anything that is causing you problems. Chances are you aren't just forgetting to hit buttons, but rather don't have the like... tools in your toolbox to solve the movement being given to you and so you freeze up and just press nothing. Which, it happens sometimes, but addressing these situations very individually is more or less how you improve (aka adding this situation to your repertoire of things you now know how to deal with). That and just accepting pressing Reprise while you're learning, unless you are seriously hammering it nonstop it won't generally cause you any immediate rotational issues. Keep your GCD rolling (a consistent GCD alignment > 5 mana) and put a mental bookmark on it to try and fix later.
