Just practice, it isn't that hard to get the parry timings down.
if a boss REQUIRES practice and many attempts and is unclearable just because you didn't have the boss's exact animation frame timings drilled down into your muscle memory down to a t right at the first attempt then it's a poor boss designas long as you KNOW what the boss does and all the patterns you should be able to clear the boss in just a few attempts, perhaps in even just one
there's no way to phrase this without sounding like an asshat which I'm not trying to today but this is obviously supposed to be a reaction/execution check boss and not just knowing what the pattern is cause you watched a guide, it's like blocking an overhead in a fighting game yes you can know that's an overhead because you looked it up on a wiki but that doesn't give you the visual recognition and awareness to properly block it by itself in an actual game

this shit is the reason why parryslop should NOT be allowed in this 2 decade old boomer ass engineif a boss is using a dash attack it's only intuitive that you can parry amidst the dashing animation but noooo, maplestory's engine doesn't work that way and the damage calculation is done right with the start of the dashing animation so the actual dash itself is purely visualthis isn't an "unfair boss" in terms of "muh too hard", but an actual unfair boss in terms of how it's coded

i just can't get down the timing of the physical attacks in p1 and 3p2 is super nice since the elements on the ground close in to the space the attack will land so you can clearly see the parry timing, and for the rotating lasers or flappy bird section lmao just let the laser run into youbut with the physical attacks it's a lot harder to tell when to parry since he stands there and suddenly attacks, yes there is a set delay between the animation start and the actual attack but it feels more like memorizing when to parry rather than seeing and reacting
even when i close it with the in-game ui it still remains running in the background..

The summons auto-aim and you give them manual attack commands. You do have the option to cast skills using your character as the origin of the skill, but it's kind of clunky.
the problem with parryslop is that it insists upon itself and instead of being a defensive optionit becomes the ONLY defensive optionthere should've been some other way to "parry" but without actually parrying to make it not parryslop

It was just a blank box)They asked I didn't take pictures or record, so unfortunately no footage.The special area (forgotten hollow) was also ingame, the mobs were cleaned up sprite-wise a bit.Machines were generic win11 machines, I was told the specs were 4070 supers 13700kf 32gb ram. login was the same as in maplecon, it's basically a standard 'server' selection with only one option, and then classic is a world choice within that server (so possibly EMS and GMS classic?)I played cleric who seemed to be identical to maplecon, same stat numbers, everything felt the same. A lot of the adjustments seemed to be server sided, things being smoother. Whether that's just cause maplecon was a general clusterfuck or they've actually changed stuff I can't say.Biggest thing was: it was EMPTY.I'm talking completely and totally empty. 0 other people besides me, I was a walkin, not scheduled (I never bothered with the offer from maplecon cause I didn't think I'd be back in LA but work fucked me).There was 1 staff from nexon manning the setups, 20 PCs, he apologized for there not being enough people to do KPQ, I assume that's why he took the timer off, I got a pin, a deskmat, and they were selling some other stuff but I don't really care about merch. Nexon might start punishing people for missing their playtestI went to the playtest today and the single Nexon employee there told me there were a bunch there yesterday for the first day of the test but barely anyone showed up. He blamed it on there being no way to enforce showing up for your scheduled appointment. I said they can’t exactly charge people for that and he said “yeah they’re all Maplestory players they would tear us a new one for that” and I suggested maybe they put a hold on a card and refund you for coming or something and he said his idea was to just ban people from the beta if they didn’t come to their time slot. Everything about classic is starting to stink. Seeing 4-5 other gachas release with 100k-200k players and drop down to sub 10k in a month was crazy this past few months. They just need to make frags droppable from bosses, then make that x5 on reboot. No other way around it because our server is basically setup to be mainly hlomien-hluwill-ctene bossing. Anything beyond that is full 22 arcanes, gollux, and rings territory (2+ years of sfing). Weekly erda + weekly epic dungeon is something like 4 years to max hexa on a single character.
