Finished the canto. Overall thoughts, 8/10. A decent portion of part 3 was dedicated to setting up events for the future. One thing I noticed was that they've put a lot more work into making cinematics, and integrating EGO into fights was nice. I enjoyed the fights for the most part, bar Middle 2 which felt like it lasted far too long. Highlight fightwise was Thumb 2As for the ending It's an interesting parallel to Heathcliff. Both characters are driven by an obsession with a single person, but where Heathcliff is the only one who remembers Cathy in his quest to restore her, Ryoshu has completely forgotten Araya. Not really as depressing of an ending as people are shitposting about. Araya dies but they clearly set up for her to be saveable.On the epilogue I found it interesting that our Faust is mocked by all the others, but seems to also be the most successful as they mention she's retrieved the most boughs.

It also seems mandatory to have healing EGO/ ID in that fight.
