It was fun, I did enjoy fighting the strong bosses, but I think they might take a bit too long. Matthias specifically, but I loved him because I love the middle anyway. I loved Roach Emperor, and I think he was really fun to fight.Really fun canto, although it feels less Ryoshucentric and more focused on everyone. I guess it makes sense if they want to start pushing everyone towards the endgame, whichever Sinclair's future is. Reminds me a lot of Katekyo Hitman Reborn lol. I also love that his final move was Xichun's final move. I think it was cute that their strongest attack is the same. They truly are besties. Now I have two people who I know will get back the people they love (Heasu and Shu) eventually. This one scene with Lucio has me thinking, 'Lucio Heath looks doable,' and I would like him to have a tremor burn ID, but I also want him to get a middle ID.

I first went with Tremor because I assumed Zwei Ishmael was the best teamplayer available.Next I went with Burn but without Yi Sang to compensate the SP drain there wasn't much to do with Dawnclair in those circumstances.Then I went with Mao Faust + Pequod Ishmael so the bonus attacks would help wittle down the Ring duo when they released their nasty attacks. Honestly after the last canto I'm fine with a canto full of aura and hype moments. The stuff with Ryoshu and her daughter was kind of bare bones and the twist was not what I was hoping for. I'm mixed on this part 3on one hand the gameplay was pretty much non-existant and you basically couldn't lose. You also had the plot going full balls to the walls shounen end of season arc. The plot felt kinda scatterbrained and ryoshu could have done with some more screentime.but on the other hand we are on the attack and have the money and backup to gangrape them. Gameplay also matched the narrative with how insane these top dogs are. All of the potential powers like sinclair and greg finally delivering was fucking great I loved that. I'm also a total sucker for the mother and daughter interactions with ryoshu and araya.

What's with the sudden change of heart with Araya in the finale? The writing felt like there were rewrites to the ending.The story was building up with Araya hating her mom due to abandoning her. She "dies" (in death's door) by Ryoshu's hands (epic 1v1 duel). Ryoshu went full Asura for 10 minutes (just to introduce Sora and Ren to Cache) and suddenly all the hate of Araya went poof, suddenly she wants to help her mom regain her sanity with the cost of sacrificing herself (and then the story went not really lol, she will be "back" sometime in the future).Does she have bipolar due to the time shenanigans? One of her passives is called compassion and the other one is hatred or something. Being perpetually stuck "outside" of time causes her to have intense mood shifts towards her mom lol.

how do you all feel about the current state of boss fights?I want to head-off any comments and say that i don't mind unbreakable coins, unavoidable damage, mass attacks, etc and that I don't think this canto was too difficult (especially if you bring along and use healing ego(s), which i didn't).I feel like in early Limbus and all of Ruina the fights were much more interpretable. You go into a Ruina realization fight and the boss says ok here are the rules and if you break the rules you get punished and if you follow the rules you win, assuming a decent team setup. Early limbus was similar (to a lesser extent).I don't really know how much damage a lot of things going to do anymore. If I outclash this unbreakable attack will it hit me for 7 damage or 70? Ok this one says the damage is reduced by 80% on clash lose oh that's 90 damage still somehow because of seven different sources of damage amp spread across 4 different passives. Ok AWE Ryoshu use your big attack will it do 150 damage or 240 i guess we'll find out. 2 unbreakable mass attacks that get nerfed if they lose but one does 50 damage spread across 5 people and one does 300 damage.I know there's still 'rules' (like halving the bug debuffs by clashing with that gluttony skill of the emperor) but the amount of damage going out an in just feels really nebulous/undefined.

He got a happy family, but willingly, emotionlessly threw them away. Rien created the house of spiders by the prescript, raised a child by the prescript. He's pragmatic.Rien's appearance also contrasts Roland's more than you may think. Roland is your average office worker suit, he's your everyday. While Rein's own has gold engraves on it, symbolizing status, giving a sense of importance. Their gloves. Obviously. And their mask, one wanted complete anomity, the other clearly makes their owner presence stood out. Their end is also different. Rien mirrors Roland's bad end in a different way. Roland presumedly gave up and let people enact vengeance on him. While Rien decided his own fate, he also couldn't bother to recite "Prayer for Loving Sorrow", since there's no sorrow for him. He was hollow, and Ryoshu was simply a failure he would never recover from rather than Roland who lost "people" who cared about him.Rien isn't simply a Roland Reference, he is written to be the Anti-Roland.
