>>553921643It's just like any other battles, but you get buffs, as you mentioned. Enemy power also scales. You can get the same buff, like +DMG, 2 separate times as different symbols. If you have a Square +DMG, and a Circle +DMG, you have 2 instances that are added but not buffed. Not all buffs are +DMG, you can get support ones like heal on bullet hit or when magazine is at 20%, defensive ones like enemy deals less damage, +hit rate, etc.The idea is that you get a lot of buffs all with the same symbols, so getting square circle triangle doesn't help but getting square square square does because they synergize, instead of just getting 5% atk from a square and 5% atk from a circle, resulting in 10%, they're both 10% each and now 20%, because they're squares.Rarity is also a factor, not as big of one until later stages (and overclock, really) but synergy > rarity. Rarity goes Blue > Gold > Red, you can save Blue and Gold but you cannot save Red. Red is good early for huge power boosts, synergy is better later when you have a bunch saved up.Apart from that, there are commander tests or whatever but you can typically ignore those until the end, I'd focus on getting synergized buffs. If you can't decide what shape to choose, go with whatever has the highest buff for your team after the run is over, and then stick with that from now on. Got a 20% DMG Circle? Start trying to build circles, and saving circles, even if they're less power than a triangle.
