Since he got summoned to the past, his future isn't necessarily set in stone anymore since he contributed to a change which justified Ben 10.000 getting different designs in each interaction.And Sinclair can now grow in another direction or even stronger because of that? He's not as ambiguous as the Pinky's leader, who seemed to just be resentful to Ryoshu (twice) while teaching her and her other pupil the way of the sword, or as shielded from moral myopia as the Rien was (literally just following Prescripts to the letter and hoping shit just worked out), but the other two Nursefathers are leaps and bounds worse than Matthias.

Compared to the Japanese canto where it's mostly a story with a core theme about one's bonds providing an eternal link that will never allow them to truly separate as long as they believe in it, with Ryoshu's being a literal red string of fate, Sinclair coming from the future to rescue several of his allies of the present, and Gregor going insane due to his scars of the past he brought to the present related to the miserable deaths of his numerous comrades. Many Seinen and Josei touch on that idea of "What you do now and how it will be carried on to the future", generally showing off how much love and kinship will always be rewarded, even in dark days, and how malice and selfishness will carry on in either a brutal end or to be totally forgotten by the future.
