I always thought cultists should be something you DONT want to face. The fact people are horny to farm them is just stupid. When cultists were first put forward I was excited for another dangerous scav that would force you to be situationally aware and constantly look around or risky being stabbed to death by a silent enemy. The fact they dont roam like goons is also sad so you can just a) never play night maps or b) never go to where cultists spawn and you'll never be bothered by them.BSG has this problem of having a really cool idea but then failing to put it into the game in a fun and engaging way

Is Arena just fucking filled with cheaters or am I really this bad? Feels like every single game there are people who prefire heads in a millisecond before my brain can even process their presence. I have the best possible actives on and try to listen to sounds, but can't make out anything during the gunfights, but everyone else seems to be 100% aware of my exact position on the map.

The rest of the map tends to be lightly populated, and people are usually either moving to the big areas or hiding so they can go to them later. Customs is the shit.

It's kind of fucking brutal how much the early missions send new players into Customs and the dormitories (one of the sweatiest zones in one of the sweatiest maps), but now I can immediately pinpoint my location anywhere on the map, plan routes to wherever I need to go and intuit the general "flow" of each match. I can appreciate the trial by fire now with hindsight, but trying to locate the exits and distinguishing between all the warehouses was nightmarish in the moment, even after studying the third party maps. All those gates and checkpoints and warehouses.
