Devs in every game are afraid of making characters who utilize the movement and physics of their engine to deal damage. Partly because most players are retarded and get upset if you make a shooter that is anything but the same shit they've been playing since counterstrike. They don't want verticality, they don't want movement tech, they don't want to ever have to deal with it ever being good either because that would require them to break the habits they've had since birth.

It happens in every game like this. Titanfall turned into rooftop camping simulator. Team fortress nerfed a ton of movement loadouts. Destiny 2 did it. Overwatch did it. Marvel rivals did it.

Yoshi was on a fucking war path before this last patch when he gave us back free initial wall jumps. He might still be but was dissuaded after doing so many nerfs to movement so fast that players were losing their minds.

teamfights are fun, power fantasy raid bossing is fun, game is looking better with every update but it's still very much a work in progress. match making is very wip as well, match quality varies a shit ton. lots of items to learn, lots of movement tech to learn, hero match ups, counter spelling, macro moba shit... just a lot to take in at first. imo the game flow in this is the most fun a moba has ever felt, not much down time, lots to do on map and you can pretty much build your character how you want.
