Mercenary is definitely gonna be a strong class and archetype in general unless they play it too safe. They get to use a whole other resource to boost themselves that regular ops will never have access to. It'll depend on their special effect being worth the dp cost and not just some shit ass +30% atk or whatever

I think Arknights does have aspects that make it selective about who plays it.However, compared to other gacha games, The monetization pressure is low (you can enjoy it plenty even without spending).There's no competing with others in rankings or the like, so you can enjoy it at your own pace.I hope it continues for 100 years.
