Okay, thinking back to how much people fought over the idea of a concept incinerator way way back in the very first intervallio, can this be considered a soft retcon of the them?In the first intervallio some guy uses it to erase a random friend chicken recipe, implying they're common enough that even a shmuck like him could use one. But here in the canto we have representatives from all five fingers doing this elaborate plot over the course of years to try and get one girl to be able to wield a sword and break her down enough to make her use it at their order. Wanted to see how the teams stacked up to ken another for me. I ran through Wei, Lei Heng, and Rien with all 7 status teams. I did NOT allow myself to use Superbia, partly because that would make this experiment take 21 days, and partly because your team relying on Superbia means it's only good for clickbait YouTube titles.>BurnIncredibly consistent. Very good clashing via the conditionals being live by midway through the first turn. Only real inconsistent aspect is Faust not pulling an s2 till turn 4, but it's not like it bricks the team or anything. Status is easy to apply, sticky, and can deal very good damage with magic bullet. Team "ramps up" with dark flame, but doesn't suffer during the ramp with bad clashing like other statuses. Good EGO options as well. I highly recommend the Heishou Chicken swap Engine. And, hilariously, Drifting Blade Ryoshu is very good with her pride gen and Gloom Gen and self fulfilled conditionals. Plus good burn EGOs>BleedIncredibly overrated. Trash clashing since conditionals are basically impossible to reliably achieve before you get your first stagger or your first Sanguine Desire. Most IDs are squishy as fuck and stagger if you breathe on them. Bosses have too many coins nowadays and too many unbreakables for stacks to stay without Sanguine, which is slow to fuel. Bloodfiends suffer HEAVILY from status damage being lowered vs bosses (less bloodfeast), making Priest Gregor required, which is unfortunate as he's rather mediocre otherwise. Lots of inconsistencies, needing certain sins early for fueling the EGO, but also those skills tend to be weak as fuck. Heavily carried by insane damage during Sanguine turns1/3

Mao Faust's assist defence doesn't trigger on allies who used a defense skill, which is very often, almost required turn 1 on almost everyone, which is very annoying. It also seems to conflict with Lordsguard on Hong Lu so it can sometimes be difficult to get it off. Still, she's incredible. Another issue is the Maos and Sis (if you use them) REALLY don't want to bottom slot the s3 turn 1 since a lot of their power, especially Ryoshu and Outis, comes from that s3 at 10+ speed. ALSO Lord Hong Lu SAYS that he retreats Heishous to the front of the line, but this is a FALSE CHINESE LIE, and they go to the back. This affects burn if you run the chicken engine (you should!) too. Usually you get your conditionals live somewhere towards the end of turn 2 if youre lucky or turn 3 if you're not. The S1s tend to be especially undesirable, but usually you can just defend instead. Very solid but it's few inconsistencies hold it back 2/3

The Index IDs are fun and the full stops are cool but it feels pretty ass. For some reason I find my units die the most in this team, despite the trickle healing from Thoricalgia. Much like Charge/Bleed it takes some time to get the conditionals live for some IDs, which is pretty rough. Though usually you can cope with the fast SP from the Index IDs and the insane clashing of the full stops. This is the team you have to think the least about, it isn't very good >ChargeIts fun, but pretty meh. The only viable way to play this is the envy res build, which is admittedly a ton of fun. Outis new EGO is nice. Middle Sinclair and QoH Don are really good. Issue is much like Poise and Bleed, the potency IDs take so long to get their coin power conditionals live that your early clashing sucks and you can get caught in an SP spiral. Also like poise, despite relying entirely on skill damage, most charge s3s somehow do equal or less damage than Heishou S3s, without even factoring in rupture. If you don't play the envy build, it's the worst team in the game, I'd you do, it's like, second worst.

After thinking on it since Part 3 ended, I've come up with the theory that the Sephirah emblems on Gregor's arm in his base EGO were indeed the needed Sephirot Powers to unlock his full roach mode, BUT Dante legitimately wasn't supposed to get access to Malkuth this early and the Flow was partially broken when they did (remember, Araya had no intention of killing him there so the fight's outcome would've been the exact same whether he called the other Sinners or not). If Dante had unlocked Malkuth when they were meant to, they would've had the requisite abilities to actually control Greg after the transformation and would've essentially had a walking nuke at their beck and call. I think this also explains the loss of the third of Odin's Eye Valencina's ROACHing caused (because there's no fucking way it's still intact after what happened-Relics are INCREDIBLY rare and sought after even amongst the rich and powerful if Hong Lu's statement was anything to go by, so Limbus/Dias might's anticipated bringing it back too.
