I just realized, the Hoarah Loux fight isn't Godfrey just throwing off Serosh. He kills Serosh and fights you using Serosh's strength through divine communion like we see with the highland warriors hunting red bears in the realm of shadow. Which makes his weird bare handed style make sense. He's open palmed and using his fingers to emulate Serosh's claws.
Since the patch I have gone from barely Depth 4 to now slithering back down to Depth 2. I am currently on a 6 Deeps loss streak. My character was only buffed, and I didn't use any of the Relics that got nerfed, so I have no idea what the problem is, my only guess is that since the patch it looks like I get nothing but pure dogshit out of Orbs so no matter what level I am I'm going into the final day with trash weapons/passives.

Mainly I never did the cold infusion and more importantly I switched away from the chainlink flail. I switched to the grave scythe because its reach is better and I was sick of whiffing shots. I just upgraded the scythe as far as I can atm, but then I remembered Great Stars exists. I kinda want to switch to it because it does strike rather than slash damage (good for fighting Crystalians) and I like the life steal thing. But I feel like I'm going through too many smithing stones and I'm a bit worried a big slow weapon like that won't work well with my greatsheild guard counter thing I've got going on. Is it worth switching? If so what's a good ash of war for it? I've been using Stormcaller, but it feels really situational.Also should I do the Dragon communion? I want to do more with incantations, but I feel like I'd be stretching my levels out too much trying to balance strength, faith, and arcane.
