The way that you tell is by comparing the stat you get from the arcane compared to the same stat you get from mods. The higher the difference is, more you want to use that arcane, and for almost every weapon you get the biggest difference from those 5 arcanes. Did you also ask one of the questions about crit versus status weapons? There is no sweet spot for crit like you loko at a weapon and say to yourself "this is how much I want". You want all your stats to be balanced, and you figure that out by comparing what you're adding to what you already have like I said earlier. Almost every weapon currently wants to be a hybrid build. I'd start with this build and swap mods out one at a time to see what you like-Primary Bulwark (if you're the guy I'm thinking of, you said you can max it)-Dreadful Killshot-Galvanized Chamber-Galvanized Aptitude-Primed Shred-Vital Sense-Critical Delay-Malignant Force-Rime RoundsAccording to the Galvanized GunCO spreadsheet, Galv Apt is multiplicative on Basmu so it doesn't count for what I said about comparing stats with mods and arcanes. If you're comfortable with the viral application from your pet, you could replace Malignant Force and Rime Rounds with Radiated Reload and Magnetic Capacity. If you want to keep the build mostly the same and make individual swaps, I'd start by getting rid of either Bulwark or Killshot. You may also want to test swapping the crit mods, but my gut instinct is those are good.

Wish they updated the animations a little in warframe, the gore to this pretty cool to this being able to split open in half the enemies, behead and remove limbs. But wish they added liquids and more detailed decals and made the dismember animations prettier.
