in the original version of the game the combat was slower and played like mass effect where you had a radial menu that slowed time down and you had to actually aim your skills, phys status was basically straight up Xenoblade combat as well
they invited basically zero arknights players to the beta and exclusively listened to feedback from wuwa/genshin players to make the game more like them so we lost actual skill aiming and the more strategic combat was replaced with mashing autoattack and dodge because that's what genshin players are used to

I was thinking the same. My friends and siblings are all Arknights players from 5-4 years. None of us got into the betas...
And the more you dig into it, you realize that they favored tourists, social media influencers, twitch niggers and vtubers to give them advice.
The result is a dumbed down casual bland autoclicker and dodge-fest.

To give you an idea of how easy it is now, I killed the level 30 ""bosses"" with a level 12 character with a level 1 blue starter weapon without armor or leveled up skills. Just dodging and chaining combos. The only thing that is keeping me playing is just the factory building section.

Did they really need to do the silent protag with meaningless dialogue choices?
I liked that the MC was actually voiced in the intro, and now suddenly they're just doing these stupid canned animations and I have to select a dumb dialogue choice

That scene with ginny kinda makes me rethink if its such a good idea to use originium. Poor kid got a terminal sickness on a desolte planet with no access to medicine while we stroll around evicerating the wildlife to fund the expansion of our company. Are... are we the bad guys?

The story is really fucking awful at the beginning but other than that the game seems pretty decent. At least it's trying something other than just trying to do genshin but with more flair. I think it will recover once people get past the paypal scare and wuwajeets get tired of shitting on the game.

Good team for the aussie bunny? Doesn't need to be optimal.
