It Endshart was made by competent devs>main quest is a bad ass adventure, you still build but only standalone structures to solve various puzzles, much like in Death Stranding>AFTER the main quest you're given a big ass factory that already functions, this is the bare minimum factory that factory skippers can just use. But for everyone else there's an empty place next to that factory to build your own. And there are NO tutorials, you just look at how shit works on the existing base and figure it out from thatDone, that's a fun game right there and everyone will enjoy it from factoryfags to actionfags

I'm enjoying it ever since I got to the Science Park and unlocked the second tier of resources and materials, the second outpost, blue gear crafting, and all the other systems that for some reason only open up once you've sunk 10 to 15 hours into the game. It's unironically got the 200 hour JRPG "don't worry it gets good after the first ten hours" disclaimer which seems like a weird choice since if you're selling a hundreds of hours long single player RPG, the RPG audience knows what to expect and games like Persona or Xenoblade do well, but the gacha audiences aren't usually signing up to play 20+ hours of an actual videogame. They might not even play that many hours in an entire year, they just hit auto and skip and roll on banners
Want to say I'm enjoying the game a lot. Didn't go in with high hopes because of the dooming, but 1st thing is the game is optimized as hell. Secondly, I am a big weaponfag and the weapon designs actually look really fucking good, swords, weapons, staffs. Reminds me of gbf except the weapons have 3d depth. Genshins weapons looked too basic and felt there was no weight. Lastly it feels slightly like a cross between The Divison and Death Stranding, I like the resource management and factory stuff. Actually feels futuristic unlike titles such as HSR which say science fiction and then you see absolutely nothing futuristic at all. I'm warping towers out of thin air over here, setting up deployments etc.Overall people that wanted hack n slash might be disappointed but I enjoy it a lot, it almost feels like an rpg to me. The one major drawback is the gacha stuff, the cost for even a multi needs to be reduced. Or alternatively gibs need to be increased. Also they have vehicles scatterd across the map, I think the game could have benefited from those but I guess it requires a lot more balancing then.

Just finished the Laevatain character quest.Even back in the beta, the character quests were some of the best content the game has to offer, but her quest was a step up even further.It's good. Really good. If you are looking for a reason to bother with slog of the early game, this is definitely one reason to do it. It also makes me hopeful for future content since quest was also the first I saw where the devs played around with surreal environments. It turned out well. Even includes some Endmin and Sutr lore as a cherry on top.

I really like most of the game I am just worried about the internal economy, it feels like old school gacha where you really had to squeeze pulls. Most modern gachas realized that front loading pulls and giving 100-130 pulls per patch afterwards was the play for retention. Endfield could end up being too niche to support its own production values.
