Was pretty mixed on the brool mode yesterday but after today I gotta say it's really really fun. Shiv is an absolute monster and being able to try random items is really entertaining. Definitely the random items is where deadlock shines the most because in the normal mode there's a clear meta and they can't figure out how to balance spirit vs gun, but in this you can't just make the best items every game so it's a lot more fun to play.

There were rumors of the update being split, and it sort of is, and they've already publicly stated that the game is going to continue to have map asset updates while the voting event is going on - I expect this means some stuff like the double sinners building that is still unfinished, but I think it implies that hero models are also getting final passes before implementation. They probably want to avoid another Lash remodel incident by rushing things. And as for balance passes, I think they want to keep people from getting burned out on 3 weeks of continual item/hero rebalancing and waiting for at the very least the first hero drop before rolling out any other balance changes they've been testing.
