Idols don't have tiers to them so when you recombinate them you are only considering the weighting of the two affixes you want and the sum of all affixes, same as if you were recombinating two highest tier affixes. I don't like to be a doomer but PoE1's 3.28 league is going to be an asset-flip micro league like you wouldn't believe. Development time was already impeded by the Christmas and New Year break. And it is even further impeded now by the few PoE1-capable devs having to spend time making balancing changes for this Phrecia event, as well as new idol mods, boss changes etc. And to top it all off, 3.28 will be the lowest retention league in a long time due to a chunk of players having burnout from the Phrecia league. Mark my words, this will probably be the single most forgettable league in the past 6 years at least. I hope I am wrong

I'm a PoE2 newtard and I think temple is a poorly designed league mechanic.>it's complicated, extremely poorly explained and unironically requires guidecuckingWhich rooms connect to a X room. What destabilizes and why. How to progress your chain and stack rooms effectively. And don't get me started on optimal building tricks like Russian tech etc. None of this is explained in the game. Only in the latest updates they at least added some minor UI help to see room combinations\upgrades, it's not enough tho so get used to using an online temple planner. And playing it without understanding the mechanics = wasting your time, explained below. Oh, you want to figure everything on your own? Good luck not bricking your temple! The changes feel wild, there's very few nerfs and a lot of strong options feel like they got stronger. I wonder if they just nerfed the most popular stuff from last phrecia (i assume scav, AC and prophet were the most popular).
