Now maybe I'm wrong, but it does feel that was an intention choice to lower the quality of the game by the old team. If you want to zero in on that last part obsessively and ignore everything else I said, feel free. The undeniable facts are sensei was written poorly and ooc during v3, and there's still no gehenna volume despite the obvious intent for v3 to be it or for them to get the main schools in early.
