Somehow I can't ever take Deca storyline seriously because it always feels like they're fighting for literally no reason. Because both sides are terrible at explaining themselves, and because Soph decided to do a pointless declaration of war at the start of the chapter when there was never a reason to actually fight if they just talked instead. Even the other trio had no idea why they did the declaration of war since they aren't actually trying to fight humans here. In their warped minds what they're doing is good trying to govern or eliminate suffering for humans even if they eliminate free will in the process, although this revelation is kinda meaningless when there's no actual humans in Kivotos except sensei.
