I discovered Steins;Gate around 2019. A friend of mine introduced it to me, since he loved it, and I quickly started watching the anime. My friend's anime recommendations were usually great, so I was expecting something amazing.In the end, I finished the anime in two days because I loved it so much. I was completely captivated from beginning to end. The experience I had with Steins;Gate is, to this day, the most intense and memorable I've ever had. I loved the characters so much, they're all so endearing, so funny, so unique in their own way. Throughout this adventure, I got to know them, to share their lives, what they like, what they don't like. I never thought an anime could evoke so much emotion in me as this one. Many scenes almost brought me to tears, they were so emotionally powerful. I think you know exactly what kind of scenes I'm talking about.So, when I started playing the video game a while ago, I expected it to impress me as much as the anime. It was my first visual novel, and I found the experience absolutely fabulous. I reached Suzuha's ending first, and I immediately played even more to reach all the endings, complete the game 100%, and unlock Steins;Gate. I won't go into details to avoid spoiling it for those who might want to play it, but it was incredible. Everything blew me away. The music is amazing, the voice actors' work makes the story even more moving during moments of intense emotion, and so many other things that make this game unforgettable...Steins;Gate has profoundly affected me since I first encountered it. This anime isn't just entertainment or a simple anime, it's a real experience that really affects you emotionally, it touches you, makes you ask yourself lots of questions about yourself, about others, and about the world, the human psyche. It makes you feel like you're part of the world it depicts. Steins;Gate isn't just about time travel, it tackles so many other themes, all told so well.El Psy Kongroo.

Just finished Muv-Luv Alternative. I posted here a few weeks ago about not being sure about continuing after Unlimited, but I'm glad I did. It was excellent from the point where Marimo-chan gets her head bit off although I did feel that it started to get a bit overlong and repetitive at certain points towards the end especially with all the alien fights, particularly the one at Yokohama Base although I recognise this was necessary for the plot since the reactor had to be destroyed. I also never got particularly attached to the new girls in the squad, and for a game this long and with a forced romance option, I felt that Sumika's scenes were mostly short and few in number. There were also some plot contrivances especially towards the end, but they weren't too bad in the scheme of things. I'm sure it's supposed to be thematic or something, but the war being a misunderstanding was pretty eh, and makes it a pretty big coincidence that the aliens attacked right at the moment humans appeared on other planets/the moon. And I know the whole multiverse gimmick was big 20 years ago, but it's so obviously nonsense, especially the thing about people being pulled out of their universe and merged with versions of themselves from another one because of human love and jealousy, and then having a whole bunch of immediate class transfers in the remade Extra universe rather than just a normal Extra universe with some minor changes, all sold with a pseudoscientific lens which apparently a high school teacher figured out and could make work with just some electricity and maybe an empath to help. It's also hard to believe that there were so many loops that he slept with literally every girl in sight including Yuuko, but never one before now with the most obvious choice Sumika.Still, the scenes where the MC returned to the Extra universe but couldn't cope due to his PTSD( were kino, and Meiya was based as hell.
