Dare I say that I miss NatlanWith Nod Krai AQ more or less done, and after I took a kind of forced pause from the game, man, are we past the hate? How do you feel about Natlan looking back?The world quest was so much hype. I really have a thing for those kinds of stories, the patriotism, the hope despite the adversity, even the color red, there were so many memorable moments. Exploration wise i likee it a lot as well, Sumeru is still my favorite region, and since 3.0 Natlan has been the only region that has managed to create that sense of being completely lost in the world. Not that Fontaine or Nod Krai were bad, but especially the latter everything's so dense, so close together you really don't feel that way. And then the world quests, the entirety of the lore about the Dragons was so so good, that region below the volcano really did make me feel a lot of nostalgia for Enkanomiya or the Chasm.I get it that the modernism might be a bit off to some, and there was ofc the entire representation thing, but looking back I really do kinda miss it

Did I understand wrong or the writers actually fumbled their own plot? I thought the whole point of the "world formula" thing was for them to predict the fate of the world (i.e. how and when Columbina would come back) and use the Traveler to change the variables to make sure she appears at the right time. But the way it happened, the calculation finished and it magically summoned Columbina, which makes no sense since nobody did anything with the output of these calculations since nobody had time to analyze it nor do something about it. Basically the thing did a prediction that was read by nobody, but somehow we're supposed to think it changed anything.

Then it gets even more ridiculous when he proceeds to make the place just a little less bad because he now forces convicts to work for coupons and only get 1 free meal per day (???). He allows smuggling of goods inside, he uses violence to supress convicts, he missed a cult under his nose (with surgery involving bugs inserted inside the brain too which is highly unsanitary, bunch of people would just die). Everyone is suddenly praising him like a second coming of christ, the Iudex takes interest and gives him a title for some weird reason and is totally okay with an unqualified person to lead the place. It's just ridiculous.
