By trying to prove you only used AI for concept art and so on you're kind of giving evidence to the prosecution, unethical and stupid. My guess is most games will simply not disclose it at all and use Steam's delisting/appeal process to ask for forgiveness rather than permission, almost every game sells 70% of the copies within the first weeks so being taken down for a week or two months down the line is nothing. I have been doing the CatlikeCoding tutorials but in Godot while trying to learn about graphics and shaders.I'm a bit sidetracked into trying to get better performance and resolution on the graph.The first optimization I tried using MultiMesh (first part of webm) instead of a regular MeshInstance. This around tripled performance, and lets me render 40k boxes at 30fps.After that I figured the boxes are basically particles so I went on to implement them as a particle shader. We can get much higher density so I used a PointMesh so instead of a box to save some quads. We can render 5.7 million points like this and its almost getting to the point where it looks like a contiguous sheet instead of separate points.Next I'll try doing it as a compute shader where we might be able to better fit the parallelization to this workload. Not sure how I can render the results without passing back to the CPU but I suppose that's the challenge here.I don't know how the particle shader works under the hood, but I imagine its something similar, so who knows if we gain any frames.
