I decided to test and mess around with Kimi K 2.5 since playing with sonnet was getting expensive and I was genuinely surprised with how good it was on average to the point where it was pretty common I'd chose a Kimi k 2.5 result over a sonnet one but I feel like I've noticed that it's quite overdramatic at times, not super grounded and it's obviously not quite as smart as sonnet either drawing the wrong conclusions or clothes suddenly changing but when it's like 5x cheaper some compromises can be overlooked even if it completely compromises the response.
I think the two most annoying overdramticisms I've seen is characters reacting to things you do too over the top, like it's not a completely unreasonable reaction but it still isn't quite right where I feel like sonnet had the opposite problem where it doesn't react quite as strongly and probably has a bit of a positivity bias not letting things get too serious or physical even if that kind of reaction would make sense. I also feel like sonnet makes characters afraid to touch you, like they'll reach out a thousand times but never actually touch you unless it's like a intimate scene where Kimi k 2.5 actually let's characters reach out and grab you out of panic, fear, anger etc.

The second one I think is for non-human anthropomorphic characters (call me a furry if you want) but specifically those who have horns or antlers, those things are literally always scraping off the roof, walls, furniture, headboards and quite literally everything, it's pretty ridiculous. And this is with characters who are only just a bit taller than average, their horns and antlers included making them maybe like 6ft 3 - 5 but I feel like it's a issue that would still persist on even shorter characters though I haven't tested it.

So I guess I'm just curious if anyone else have experience with these overdramatic descriptions I guess it seems like it's mostly physical stuff.

Cheapest way to access sonnet and opus?
Basically just the title, I'm curious what the cheapest and best way to access these models because at this point I'm not interested in using anything else, Gemini 3.0 is... A mixed bag, some good some bad, I think the main thing it's got going for it for me is it's knowledge base, it knows a lot of shit which I like since I often reference stuff like songs or albums which most models have very limited knowledge on where Gemini managed to name the exact song I was referencing when talking about an album. Anyways I got sidetracked. Where I feel sonnet and by extension opus (in limited testing) perform a lot better at giving a cohesive and in character roleplay, it's not always perfect and it doesn't quite have the same knowledge base but in my personal experience they are unmatched all rounders.

Right now I'm just using open router and really not doing anything special to save costs and it's just as expensive as you'd expect lol, so I'd like to know what are my options or just any other solutions are alternatives, all info is welcome directly related or not.

I invariably write my own responses, but sometimes I’m curious where the model might go with it, so I hit ‘Impersonate. I know it may be a matter of taste. However, another alternative to the paid wrappers is to use Ollama or LM Studio and run free models locally yourself (if you have a powerful enough machine).
They may not be quite as powerful as the paid models, however, they are certainly good enough for most writing assistance tasks and you don't have to worry about data residency. But if I want online use and switching between my top models for writing, I use all in one AI tool like writingmate.ai and goal it a day. Hemingway is also capable but I have a bit less use of it lately

It would only be honorable for the Admiral to explain what had just happened and who he truly is.

Noticing that he has a shot at stopping a supernatural terrorist that had been on his notice for a long while, Admiral Guillaume tries to use every available asset - including you - to hunt down the Transistor. But the frailty of old age gets in the way…

Admiral Guillaume hears the prayer of an old owl who wishes to hunt proudly again. The god can grant this prayer, but the miracle requires him to work through his own difficulties. In order to invoke the power of the True Moon, Admiral Guillaume must discuss with Cara of Harvests, a woman he once called his lover.
