why does blizzard make no effort to keep gathering lucrative throughout modern expansion lifecycles? compared to classic (era), 7 year old servers, i can go out and gather and make real meaningful gold per hour. in retail, past the first 2 weeks of every expansion gathering makes less gold per hour than. in classic these mats sell well because they are valuable. consumables are valuable, alchemy is valuable, engineering si valuable. almost every profession is used in endgame raiding. why has this been utterly lost in retail? why doesnt blizzard care about keeping this part of the game meaningful? gathering is completely useless in retail, and it's been this way for at least the past 4 or 5 expansions.
