alright I've got my 12 Xiranite batteries being made in wuling and 21 buck capsule A/12 purple batteries in valley 4 after doing wulfgards quest to unlock the last 100 ferrite per minute. I haven't had anything to do for almost a week in the game and I am starting to get really disappointed in it. I've played original AK daily for more than 5 years now and I've seen what the devs can do, but it's like they threw everything they learned from AK into the trash and decided to make a worse version of genshin.The OST is mediocre, the factory building is barebones and has no real point to it after 24 hours of production, the story is less interesting than the skip button, the world has barely anything to do with Arknights(aside from the skinwalkers), the combat is just genshin with i-frame dodge.Now that I think about how bad this is, it took almost 3 years for Elden Ring to be released since its announcement date while it took almost 4 years for Endfield. Sheesh, the way people were talking about Zhuang, I thought she confessed she'd always loved Endmin or something. I'm not going to deny that a lot of her reactions had romantic overtones or anything, but finding a way to be alone with a legendary figure you admired to get some closure with how the abruptly disappeared from your life isn't exactly strange, and that's pretty explicitly what she was doing. She even grew sad and distant upon realizing that the person whose opinion she really wanted was gone, which the story pretty much beat you over the head with via the "lands remain, people fade" fortune she drew. If this were a traditional RPG instead of a gacha, I don't think people would have blinked twice at this scene - well, excepting the fact that their overworked viceroy was tasked with hunting down a rogue drone, of course.

Endfield Industries really needs some kind of higher authority analogous to Kal'tsit, a mentor figure which can guide the Endministrator, handle matters outside of our control, and add a sense of seriousness to the story. I want Endfield to feel like an actual organization that exists beyond the Endministrator, with us answering to someone else's orders when we wake up and slowly gaining more autonomy and knowledge as we recover from the amnesia. Perlica doesn't cut it as a leader, she's analogous to Amiya, looking up to us and ultimately following our command. We need a wise old leader with power that exceeds our own.

I gotta admit - I really don't get what people are complaining about with the "unnecessary endmin glazing". We ARE a legendary hero who saves Valley 4 from certain destruction. Even at the start, we save the hub from being destroyed by an ankhor and fix the power issue that would have prevented the survivors from saving anyone else. A bunch of the stuff we do might not glamorous, but it's things that spare beleaguered disaster survivors a lot of effort that they can't afford - that's why they're grateful, not because it's some legendary feat on our part. That's before getting into the fact that our originium circuit abilities are something literally nobody else can do.It'd be weirder if people DIDN'T treat us as someone special, or didn't want our help in a crisis. I do agree that the game would be improved by having our own Kal'tsit to pull us down to earth again for justified reasons, but all the praise I can recall has been perfectly reasonable in context.
