It's fairly easy to get 4 copies of a unit because of how wishlists and pity tickets work. They even made the "160" wall much easier and made it so all 3 stars can be level until 200 as well. I'm a day 1 f2p player, and I played when the "160 wall" was at it's worst and I was never "walled". Anniversary events also always give you a free mlb ssr as well.
