Blossombeast's scythe can last you almost the whole game if damage is not important to your Harb; AoE arm bind gud. The Force Boost is relevant early on cuz you have jack shit passives, the Break however is one of the best in the game. Forces all enemies to go last and take significant extra damage: plan around Breaking at the same turn you are using big dick skills/breaks (Drive, Issen, Regiment Rave, etc) or you are wasting potential. If you are not Reaping, weapon slot is only relevant for stat bonuses or weapon skills, consider a Sword for more action speed though maxed Miasma Armor might make that irrelevant depending on the rest of the team. Sub is flexible, depending role and how many dead turns your Harb gets, however Harbs are somewhat SP intensive, so pick something low investment.I would not rely on them for the sole healer spot though, unless you are okay with maxing Miasma Armor early and carrying Theriacas/Somas/etc. Later they actually work thanks to Enduring Armor, dead turns and your party being able to kill things fast. Also Wall/Barrier. 1/2

The size of dungeons, frequency of encounters, and the fact that the starter classes rehash the aesthetics of the first game's roster kinda annoy me and it's a bit on the easy side but it's still one of the best games in the series, especially at capturing a sense of adventure and discovery. The music is a bit more moody and less pop-structured compared to past games too. It's my second favorite of the 3DS games behind V. Might feel slow if you're too used to the later games but on the other hand speeding up the dungeon crawling part might ruin its atmosphere.

That said, it's really easy to grind in EO2 once you see how much EXP you get from the stratum bosses so even leveling up characters just to access those hidden areas isn't hard.
